How much does an accountant?
I graduated June 2006 with a degree in accounting. I had 2 jobs since then. My current functions includes not simply closes Month End, Bank Recs, JE, accounts, investments, Up, Commissions, AR & PA reconciliations, P & L, balance, trial balance, in brief that 90% of the company `s close. The company I work for a Fortune 500 company, and I work at one of its annual sales diviisions 50 million dollars. I report directly to chief financial officer of the division. How much do you think should be making. Any recruiters please help. My opinion is next Monday and I have to see how much must conform. I do a lot more than what I wrote. I also agree with SOX compliance, transfers between companies, IOJVs,,, Location of Los Angeles and i commute about 20 miles from home. The company's total sales to all divisions of about 6 million dollars. I work with Oracle, Procom,,, I also used Peachtree before in my previous job …. Thanks a lot
I recommend: 1) What to do The site is verified http://www.salary.com/ can give the range and median salaries based on their location, job type, tenure / level of experience, Compan size, and even raw. 2) If you have experience in public accounting (especially with the Big 4), licensed CPA, MBA, or experiece financial analysis, it may be worth more. 3) And do not expect to be able to make a big jump so little time (1 year of school). Typical full accounting takes 3 to 5 years to move to the next level. Making a lot of different functons means great exposure, but it also means we do not have the expertise or experience in working in an area. I'm trying to discourage you, just do not want you to have unrealistic expectations going into an exam and be disappointed or bitter if you do not understand. With all That said, we definitely it could be good for a raise. I recommend you have a list of accomplishments, their prior attainment of goals and targets, planned areas of improvement, and goals and objectives for next year is going to conduct the evaluation. You can even offer one for your boss to "influence", putting in their evaluation. Good luck! Just Be!
