ibm work at home policy
The wireless / privacy question work?

Recently started a new job. I got a laptop. Apparently not have a strict policy not to use electronic mail for personal purposes (not Gmail, Yahoo, etc..) Anyway, I was wondering if you are able to control what I do when I disconnect my Internet connection, and access a Wi-Fi server I can think of to gather at home (and no other pickup in the office). It is not through of a wireless card. Perhaps it is blue tooth? Not sure. This is an Access IBM … Anyway, I think is that I then shut down the server and unsupervised when I do? And so, SAFE (R) to check personal email? Can someone who knows these things please reply and let me know?

Most companies today issue of wireless devices, even if they are issued and owned by the company, especially if you are on a network. Be careful, and check your personal email elsewhere.
