Securing a job working from home can take a lot of time, patience and persistence. Unfortunately, by the time most people begin searching a job to do at home, are already in a serious financial bind and need to start earning immediately. That's just not realistic with most work at home jobs labor and business. However, it is quite possible to start earning some income almost immediately by using your existing skills and abilities.

Here are some examples of how you can use your skills: shopping, cleaning, organizing, party planning, childcare, pet-sitting/dog-walking, taking pets to veterinary appointments, order service for mothers or elderly, assisting small businesses in your area with office work, painting (interior and exterior), junk removal, yardwork, taking photographs at special events or attractions, manufacture and sale of craft fairs or flea markets, designing websites for small local businesses, catering or cooking.
That is just the tip of the iceberg, but you get the idea. Once you have some ideas for possible businesses you could do, know what the legal requirements for starting a business would like that of the home. Call the office of City Clerk and the State Department of Finance to find out what documents or licenses required to start.
Then, the types of investigations under way for the work you are considering. If you are unsure of what to charge, consider how much you earn per hour, and wondered if most people would be willing to pay or not. You do not want to under-charge and do not worthwhile, but also do not want to charge ridiculous rates that people do not have to pay. Your hourly rate may vary depending on the type of work you're doing, but in a general sense, try to keep their rates reasonable, while still paying the same thing you're worth.
Then you can start marketing. Marketing will not have to be expensive. Make up some flyers or have a print shop to do it and start running on public bulletin boards. You can also pay for an inexpensive classified ad in your local newspaper. You may have to invest a little money to begin with, but there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars. Start small. Once you start building a customer base that you can always pay more advertising. You may also have some cards made up (or make your own) to pass out to potential customers. Do not be afraid to approach your target market directly, either! To provide a service to local small businesses, go and introduce yourself. Tell them what you are and what you do. Leave a flyer with them. Do not sit home waiting for the phone to ring, go out and make it happen.
Guess what? You're in business! Even if this not what it wants to continue doing forever, that's fine. You can still search for jobs or researching home businesses that more closely match with what your career vision is. Meanwhile, at least he wins some money to reduce the financial pressure of your home.
